Foundation Repair Case Studies: Water Control and Wall Stabilization in Cleveland, WI

Monday, April 6th, 2020 by Tom Wardlow

This home in Cleveland, WI had several issues in their basement.  Outside pressure from the soil and water were causing the walls to buckle and bow inward.  On top of that, water was finding its way into the basement from the walls and the home had no system in place to collect and drain the water and discharge it away from the home.

To fix the bowing walls, Sure-Dry Basement Systems installed their Geo-Lock™ Wall Anchor System.  Steel rods attached to soil anchors extend through the foundation wall and wall plates.  Wall plates distribute clamping pressure. Tightening nuts on the threaded ends of the rods stabilize the wall for a permanent solution.

To take care of the water issue, Sure-Dry Basement Systems installed their WaterGuard® system.  The WaterGuard® system collects water that seeps through basement walls and drains it to your sump pump. The system installs quickly and has a clean finished appearance, meaning you don't have to worry about having an unsightly drain around the basement. WaterGuard® works for both block walls and poured concrete, ensuring that your basement remains dry in all situations. This product also comes with a written warranty.
