Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

This crawl space was suffering from water issues, causing moisture and foul odors in the floors above. To remedy these issues, we cleaned up the extra dirt and debris and then installed a combination of CleanSpace Vapor Barrier and Drainage Matting to collect any water and safely and effectively carry it back outside. These updates will not only keep the crawl space cleaner and drier but will also make the floors above it much more comfortable.

In Egg Harbor, WI, a homeowner faced a problem with their dirty, musty crawl space. Inspect the "before" image: signs of moisture and added risk of mold growth. Our solution included installing the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, coupled with our CleanSpace encapsulation system, expertly transforming the crawl space into a healthy and dry space. As you can see in the "after" photo, the area is now effectively protected against mold and mustiness. In Fish Creek, WI we encapsulated their crawlspace with CleanSpace to remove the water from entering in their floor joists and rotting the boards. To then insulate the crawlspace we installed SilverGlo. SilverGlo has tiny particles inside that reflect heat back into the crawlspace. 

Before:
The crawl space had exposed soil, musty odors, and seasonal puddling in low spots. Humid air was moving into the home, leaving floors cold and raising concerns about mold and wood rot. The area lacked insulation and a reliable way to manage water during storms.

After:
We encapsulated the crawl space with the CleanSpace® vapor barrier, sealing the floor and walls with tight, taped seams and mechanical fasteners. To manage groundwater, we installed a SmartSump® system in a sealed liner with alarm and check valve for dependable pumping and early leak detection. We finished with SilverGlo® rigid insulation panels on the crawl space walls to improve energy efficiency and direct any wall moisture into the liner.

The result is a bright, dry, insulated crawl space that helps keep the living areas above cleaner and more comfortable.
