Before:
A homeowner in Abbotsford, WI was dealing with water intrusion along one basement wall where groundwater was seeping through the cold joint. After:
Sure-Dry installed a new SuperSump® system to provide reliable pumping capacity. A bleeder line was added to intercept groundwater entering through the problem wall and direct it efficiently toward the sump system.
With the new collection route and upgraded pump in place, the homeowner now has a controlled, dependable solution that keeps the Abbotsford basement dry through seasonal weather fluctuations.

Along the perimeter, a WaterGuard® interior drainage system was added to capture groundwater and direct it efficiently to the new sump. To address wall moisture and vapor intrusion, CleanSpace® wall vapor barrier panels were installed to create a clean, sealed surface and channel any seepage into WaterGuard. The full system restored dry conditions and improved air quality throughout the basement.

Before

The concrete driveway at this Abbotsford, WI home had significant settlement along with extensive cracking throughout the slabs. Several of the cracks had opened considerably, leaving the driveway with an uneven, deteriorated appearance and providing multiple pathways for water to get beneath the concrete.

These conditions can feed into each other. Once cracks open, rain and melting snow can reach the supporting soils below. Soil erosion, changing moisture levels, and Wisconsin’s repeated freeze-thaw cycles can then create additional voids and movement beneath the slabs.

Sure-Dry used PolyLevel® to address the settlement. Unlike traditional mudjacking, which pumps a heavy cement-based slurry beneath the concrete, PolyLevel uses lightweight expanding polyurethane foam. The material is injected through small holes to fill voids and precisely lift the slabs while adding very little additional weight to the underlying soil.

After

After the driveway slabs were lifted and stabilized with PolyLevel, this project required an extensive application of NexusPro® because of the amount of cracking throughout the driveway.

The crew sealed the numerous cracks and joints with NexusPro, creating a noticeable transformation across the surface of the driveway. Beyond improving its finished appearance, sealing such a large amount of cracking helps reduce the amount of water that can travel through those openings and reach the soils beneath the slabs.

With the concrete lifted and the extensive cracking sealed, the existing driveway now has improved support, smoother transitions, and better protection against water intrusion and future settlement.

The foundation in this basement had a large horizontal expansion crack that would consistently leak water into the basement.
