Concrete Driveway Lifted and Repaired in Neenah, WI

Before: A homeowner in Neenah, WI contacted Sure-Dry after noticing sections of their concrete driveway and front walkway had become uneven and settled over time. The sinking slabs created tripping hazards near the front entrance and caused water to collect in low areas during heavy rain and snowmelt. Like many homes throughout Winnebago County and the Fox Valley region, repeated freeze-thaw cycles and shifting soils beneath the concrete had caused the slabs to crack and sink. The homeowner was searching for a concrete lifting company and concrete leveling contractor that could restore the existing concrete without the expense and disruption of replacement.
Traditional mudjacking, also referred to as slab jacking, can place additional weight on already unstable soils and often requires larger drill holes throughout the slab surface. The homeowner wanted a long-lasting concrete floor repair and concrete step repair solution that would improve safety, drainage, and curb appeal around the property.

After: Sure-Dry inspected the driveway and front walkway and identified multiple settlement areas beneath the affected concrete slabs. To restore the surfaces, the crew installed PolyLevel High-Density Concrete Lifting Foam beneath the settled sections to carefully lift and level the concrete back into position. Unlike traditional mudjacking methods, PolyLevel High-Density Concrete Lifting Foam is lightweight, cures quickly, and helps reduce additional stress on weakened soils beneath the slab. Once the lifting process was completed, the joints and cracks were sealed using NexusPro Concrete Joint Sealant to help prevent future water intrusion and soil washout beneath the driveway and walkway.
The completed repair restored a safer and more uniform concrete surface while helping protect the slabs against continued settlement common throughout Neenah and the Fox Valley area.

Sunken & Unlevel Concrete Lifted, Repaired & Joints Sealed in Neenah, WI

Before

The homeowner in Neenah, WI had noticed their front sidewalk and concrete steps leading to the front entrance had settled over time, creating uneven surfaces and increasing the risk of trips and falls. Gaps had developed between the sidewalk panels and steps, while water was beginning to collect in the low areas. Like many properties in northeastern Wisconsin, repeated freeze-thaw cycles and shifting soils had allowed voids to form beneath the concrete. Wanting to avoid the cost of replacement, the homeowner contacted Sure-Dry, a trusted concrete leveling contractor, for a permanent repair solution.

After

Our crew carefully evaluated the amount of settlement before injecting PolyLevel High-Density Concrete Lifting Foam beneath the front sidewalk and concrete steps. Unlike traditional mudjacking (slab jacking), which uses a heavy cement slurry that can contribute to future settlement, PolyLevel is lightweight, expands to fill hidden voids, cures in minutes, and provides long-lasting stabilization with minimal disruption. Once the sidewalk and steps were restored to their proper elevation, we sealed the joints and cracks with NexusPro Concrete Joint Sealant to help prevent water infiltration beneath the slabs and reduce the potential for future soil erosion. The homeowner now enjoys a safer, smoother entrance with improved curb appeal and durable protection for their existing concrete.

Basement Water Control & Battery Back-up Installed in Neenah, WI

Before

This Neenah, WI home had a poured concrete foundation, but water was still finding its way into the basement. Even poured foundations can experience basement water problems when groundwater builds up around the foundation and finds openings along the wall-floor joint or through cracks and penetrations.

Wisconsin homes are especially susceptible during periods of heavy rain and spring snowmelt, when saturated soils can create hydrostatic pressure around the foundation. Without an effective drainage and sump system, that water can make its way inside and leave homeowners dealing with a wet basement.

After

Sure-Dry installed a complete interior basement waterproofing system beginning with WaterGuard® along the perimeter of the basement. WaterGuard is installed at the wall-floor joint where groundwater commonly enters, capturing the water before it can spread across the basement floor and directing it toward the sump system.

A SuperSump® system was installed to collect and pump the water safely away from the foundation. The system also included a battery backup pump, providing an additional layer of protection if the primary pump loses power during a storm or power outage.

With WaterGuard directing groundwater to the SuperSump and battery backup providing added protection, this Neenah basement now has a waterproofing system designed to keep it dry through changing Wisconsin weather conditions.

Failing Concrete Driveway Repaired, Lifted & Sealed in Neenah, WI

Before

The concrete driveway and front walkway at this Neenah, WI home had developed settlement and cracking, including the walkway leading all the way up to the front porch. Uneven slabs created noticeable transitions along areas used every day by vehicles and foot traffic.

When concrete settles, it is often a sign that the soil beneath the slabs has shifted, eroded, or developed voids. Water entering through open joints and cracks can contribute to that process. In Wisconsin, snowmelt, rainfall, and repeated freeze-thaw cycles can make these conditions even more challenging.

Sure-Dry used PolyLevel® to address the sunken concrete. Unlike traditional mudjacking, which pumps a heavy cement-based slurry beneath the slabs, PolyLevel uses lightweight expanding polyurethane foam. It fills underlying voids while allowing for precise lifting, requires smaller injection holes, adds very little additional weight to the soil, and cures quickly.

After

PolyLevel was used to lift and stabilize the affected driveway slabs as well as the front walkway leading up to and including the concrete porch. Particular attention was given to improving transitions along the walking surface and where the walkway met the porch.

The crew then applied NexusPro® to the cracks and joints throughout the repaired areas. NexusPro remains flexible with seasonal concrete movement while helping reduce the amount of water that can travel through these openings and reach the supporting soils below.

With the driveway, walkway, and front porch addressed as one comprehensive project, the home's exterior concrete now has improved support, smoother transitions, and additional protection against future settlement.
