Before: 

This homeowner in Neenah, WI contacted Sure-Dry after their front sidewalk had settled several inches, creating a large drop where it met the front steps. The concrete had also begun sloping away from the house, causing water to collect in low spots instead of draining properly.

The uneven slabs had become a serious trip hazard for family and guests, and with each Wisconsin freeze/thaw season, the settlement continued to get worse. Open joints and cracks were also allowing water to seep beneath the concrete, washing away the supporting soil and accelerating the problem.

The homeowner wanted to restore the sidewalk before it became an even bigger safety issue or required complete replacement.

After: 

Our team restored the sidewalk using PolyLevel Injection Foam, carefully lifting and leveling the sunken slabs back toward their original position without tearing out the existing concrete. The expanding foam filled the voids beneath the sidewalk while stabilizing the supporting soil for a long-lasting repair.

Once the sidewalk was level again, we sealed all cracks and joints using NexusPro Joint Sealant. This flexible concrete joint sealant helps keep water from getting underneath the slabs, reducing future soil washout and helping protect against additional settling caused by Wisconsin's harsh weather.
