We installed a combination of:

• PowerBrace™ Wall Repair System, a galvanized steel I-beam system that reinforces cracking foundation walls from inside the basement

• Integration with our basement waterproofing systems (when applicable), helping reduce hydrostatic pressure and prevent further cracking caused by soil saturation

The walls in this basement were bowing in several inches, causing water issues in the basement and wall cracking throughout the home above it. To stabilize the foundation walls and move the walls back to where they're supposed to be, we installed the PowerBrace™ Wall Repair System, which is the ideal way to stabilize failing foundation walls. The PowerBrace consists of steel I-beams that are secured to the joists above the wall with steel brackets. This system is easily adjustable, allowing for tightening of the brace to attempt to raise the wall back to its original position. This system doesn't involve any exterior excavation and installs quickly with minimal disruption to your basement space. 

Our team installed 8 GeoLocks around the perimeter of their basement walls. These anchors use the compacted soil outside to firmly hold the wall in place and keep it from bowing in any farther. Over time, these walls can be tightened to straighten the wall back to its proper location.

These homeowners had noticed that the drywall in their finished basement had started to crack, and there was visible water on the wall and floors, which they were concerned about. After a thorough inspection and removal of the drywall, it was determined that the foundation walls had indeed cracked and were starting to bow in which was causing the issue.
