Seasonal snowmelt and heavy rainfall in Northeast Wisconsin created seepage at the floor-wall joint, contributing to musty odors and damp conditions commonly found in older stone foundations across Brown County.

To preserve the home’s historical character while resolving the moisture problem, the crew installed a WaterGuard® interior drainage system along the base of the rock walls to collect seepage discreetly and prevent water from reaching the basement floor. The stone surfaces were lined with CleanSpace® vapor barrier to isolate moisture and create a clean, controlled wall system suitable for aging masonry.
