Partially Finished Basement Foundation Repaired in Appleton, WI

Before
This Appleton, WI homeowner had a partially finished basement with foundation walls showing signs of inward movement. Horizontal cracking and measurable wall deflection indicated that outside soil pressure was pushing against the foundation. Wisconsin’s clay-heavy soils can expand as moisture levels rise, while repeated freeze-thaw cycles add further stress to basement walls. Because part of the basement was already finished, the homeowner needed a permanent foundation repair solution that would stabilize the walls without taking away from the appearance of the living space. Sure-Dry recommended the GeoLock Wall Anchor System.

After
Our crew installed the GeoLock Wall Anchor System to permanently stabilize the affected basement walls. Steel earth anchors were embedded in stable soil outside the foundation and connected to interior wall plates with high-strength steel rods. In the unfinished section, the anchor plates remained accessible for future adjustments. In the finished portion of the basement, decorative covers were installed over the interior plates, giving the homeowner a cleaner, finished appearance while preserving access for future tightening. The basement walls are now stabilized, and the homeowner can continue using the finished space without exposed repair components disrupting the room.

Cracked & Bowing Foundation Repaired in Appleton, WI

Before

This Appleton, WI homeowner had basement walls showing horizontal cracking and inward bowing, both clear signs that outside soil pressure was affecting the foundation. During the inspection, our foundation repair specialists mapped the wall deflection to determine the extent of movement and identify the areas requiring stabilization. Expansive soils, changing groundwater levels, and northeastern Wisconsin’s freeze-thaw cycles can place significant lateral pressure against basement walls, causing the damage to worsen over time. Sure-Dry recommended the PowerBrace Wall Stabilization System to permanently stabilize the affected walls without exterior excavation.
After
Our crew installed the PowerBrace Wall Stabilization System along the affected basement walls. Each galvanized steel beam was secured tightly between the basement floor and the floor framing above, immediately preventing additional inward movement. The system can also be adjusted during future service visits to potentially move the walls closer to their original position when conditions allow. The homeowner now has a permanently stabilized foundation and confidence that the horizontal cracking and wall movement have been properly addressed by an experienced foundation repair contractor.

Concrete Driveway Leveled & Sealed in Appleton, WI

Before
This Appleton, WI homeowner had a concrete driveway that wrapped around into the front walkway and steps leading to the main entrance. Over time, several sections had settled, creating uneven transitions, trip hazards, and gaps between the concrete slabs. During our inspection, we identified multiple areas where soil erosion beneath the concrete had created voids, allowing the slabs to sink. Like many homes in northeastern Wisconsin, repeated freeze-thaw cycles and changing soil moisture had accelerated the settlement. Rather than replacing the concrete, we recommended repairing it with PolyLevel High-Density Concrete Lifting Foam and NexusPro Concrete Joint Sealant. Unlike traditional mudjacking, PolyLevel is lightweight, waterproof, cures in minutes, and won't place additional weight on the supporting soils.

After
Our crew carefully measured the elevation of each slab and injected PolyLevel High-Density Concrete Lifting Foam beneath the driveway, front walkway, and entry steps to precisely lift and level each section. Once the concrete was restored to a safe, uniform height, we sealed the joints and cracks with NexusPro Concrete Joint Sealant to help keep water from reaching the soils beneath the slabs. The homeowner now has a safer, more attractive entrance to their home with smooth transitions from the driveway to the front steps and a long-lasting repair designed to withstand Wisconsin's harsh climate.

Basement Sump Pump Replacement & Humidity Control in Appleton, WI

Before

This Appleton, WI homeowner already had a sump pump system in the basement, but the existing equipment needed to be replaced. An aging or unreliable sump pump can leave a basement vulnerable when groundwater levels rise during heavy rain or spring snowmelt.

The basement also needed better humidity control to help manage moisture in the air and maintain a drier, more comfortable environment.

After

Sure-Dry replaced the existing sump equipment with a SuperSump® system designed to reliably collect and remove groundwater from the basement.

A SaniDry™ dehumidification system was also installed to control excess humidity. Unlike a typical portable household dehumidifier, SaniDry is designed specifically for basement and crawl space environments and automatically drains collected water.

With an upgraded sump system and dedicated humidity control in place, this Appleton homeowner now has better protection against both groundwater and excess moisture in the air.

Poured Concrete Foundation Wall Repair in Appleton, WI

Before

This Appleton, WI homeowner was already a Sure-Dry waterproofing customer when they noticed another concern developing in their basement. Several of the poured concrete foundation walls were showing signs of movement and needed structural stabilization.

What makes this project especially notable is that the home is well under 20 years old. Foundation problems aren't limited to older homes. Soil movement, changing moisture levels, and Wisconsin's freeze-thaw cycles can create significant pressure against foundation walls regardless of the home's age.

Because different walls had different conditions and available space around the home, Sure-Dry designed a repair using two different foundation stabilization systems.

After

On walls where exterior access was available, Sure-Dry installed GeoLock® Wall Anchors. These anchors connect steel wall plates inside the basement to earth anchors installed in stable soil outside the foundation, permanently stabilizing the walls against further inward movement.

On other walls, the crew installed PowerBrace™ steel I-beams. PowerBraces are installed against the foundation wall and secured to the framing above, providing stabilization without requiring excavation outside the home.

Using both systems allowed Sure-Dry to match the foundation repair solution to the conditions of each wall rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
