The concrete slabs had shifted over time, creating height differences, cracks, and gaps that posed safety concerns and impacted curb appeal. With Northeast Wisconsin’s freeze-thaw cycles and soil movement, these conditions are common and often lead to the need for concrete lifting and concrete leveling.

Water was also beginning to collect in the low areas and seep into the joints, increasing the risk of soil washout beneath the slabs. The homeowner was searching for a dependable concrete lifting company and contractor to restore the surfaces and prevent further deterioration.

After
Our team used PolyLevel High-Density Concrete Lifting Foam to lift and level the settled driveway and front walkway. By injecting the expanding foam through small, strategically drilled holes, we were able to raise the slabs back into proper position while stabilizing the underlying soil.

To complete the repair and provide long-term protection, we applied NexusPro Concrete Joint Sealant to all joints and cracks. This flexible sealant helps prevent water intrusion, reducing the likelihood of future washout and maintaining the stability of the repair.

Unlike traditional mudjacking (also known as slab jacking), which uses a heavier material that can contribute to additional settling over time, PolyLevel is lightweight, cures quickly, and provides a long-lasting solution. By injecting the foam beneath the slabs, the crew was able to fill the empty spaces underneath and carefully raise the concrete back closer to level. Compared to traditional mudjacking methods, PolyLevel High-Density Concrete Lifting Foam is lightweight, cures quickly, and helps avoid adding extra weight to already shifting soils beneath the slabs.
Once the concrete was lifted, the crew sealed the joints and cracks using NexusPro Concrete Joint Sealant to help keep water from getting back underneath the slabs. By the time the project was finished, the driveway had smoother transitions, the walkway to the front door was much safer to walk on, and the whole front of the home looked cleaner and more put together.
