Concrete Driveway Sinking and Cracking Repaired in Oshkosh, WI
Before: A homeowner in Oshkosh, WI contacted Sure-Dry after noticing sections of their concrete driveway and walkway leading to the front door had become uneven and settled over time. The sinking slabs created tripping hazards near the entrance and caused water to collect in low areas during heavy rain and snowmelt. Like many homes throughout Winnebago County and the Fox Valley region, repeated freeze-thaw cycles and changing soil conditions beneath the slabs had caused the concrete to crack and shift. The homeowner was searching for a concrete lifting company and concrete leveling contractor that could restore the existing concrete without the expense and disruption of replacement.
Traditional mudjacking, also referred to as slab jacking, can place additional weight on unstable soils and often requires larger drill holes throughout the slab surface. The homeowner wanted a long-lasting concrete floor repair and concrete step repair solution that would improve safety, drainage, and curb appeal around the property.
After: Sure-Dry inspected the driveway and front walkway and identified several settlement areas beneath the affected concrete slabs. To restore the surfaces, the crew installed PolyLevel High-Density Concrete Lifting Foam beneath the settled sections to carefully lift and level the concrete back into position. Unlike traditional mudjacking methods, PolyLevel High-Density Concrete Lifting Foam is lightweight, cures quickly, and helps reduce additional stress on weakened soils beneath the slab. Once the lifting process was completed, the joints and cracks were sealed using NexusPro Concrete Joint Sealant to help prevent future water intrusion and soil washout beneath the driveway and walkway.
The completed repair restored a safer and more uniform concrete surface while helping protect the slabs against continued settlement common throughout Oshkosh and Central Wisconsin.

Sump Pump Battery Back-up Installed in Oshkosh, WI
Ultra Sump Pump with Battery Back-up and check valve installed to assist current sump pump with water volume and provide homeowners with peace of mind if the power goes out.
Of course, in many cases water issues in the basement are caused by severe weather that can knock out power. With that in mind, we created the UltraSump® Battery Backup System to ensure continued protection no matter what happens. In the event of loss of power the battery backup will automatically kick in and begin removing water from your basement, preventing a flood. The UltraSump® system can pump out in excess of 11,500 gallons of water on a fully charged battery, which is enough water to fill a small swimming pool!
The battery backup also comes with an alarm to alert you in case of power failure, sounding when the backup pump is running and silencing when power is restored. This alarm also protects you in case the main system is accidentally unplugged, which could otherwise leave your basement unprotected. The UltraSump® can outlast generic backup pumps many times over, and an additional battery can be attached for further protection.
