When the homeowner called, they reported water tracking across the slab after every significant rainfall. Our inspection found active seepage at multiple wall‐floor joints and an undersized, aging sump without adequate discharge protection.
We recommended a two-part solution: WaterGuard® to capture and channel water, and a SuperSump® to remove it efficiently. The crew saw-cut and installed WaterGuard just beneath the slab edge along the leaking walls, pitched it to a new sump location for optimal service access, and restored the concrete for a clean appearance.
We then set the SuperSump with check valve, airtight lid, and proper discharge routing. After testing for flow and head height, we confirmed steady removal and quiet operation.
The result is a permanent path for groundwater to reach the sump and a dependable pumping system to keep the basement dry—delivering a cleaner environment and peace of mind during future storms.
During our inspection, we found undersized, shifting support posts and longer-than-ideal spans under the main girder—classic signs of crawl space settlement. To correct the structure without a major rebuild, we recommended SmartJacks®.

Lift & level: Tightened the system gradually, using a laser to guide small, even lifts that closed gaps and corrected floor slope.

Finish & documentation: Locked hardware, recorded reference elevations, and provided the homeowner with an adjustment/inspection plan for future fine-tuning if conditions change.
Outcome: Floors are solid and level, doors operate correctly, and drywall cracks have stopped progressing. The home now has a code-compliant, adjustable support system designed for long-term stability in Northwoods soil conditions.
