Foundation Cracks Repair with FlexiSpan in Northeastern Wisconsin
We have been repairing water leaks in poured concrete foundations for years. New residential construction sometimes exhibits cracks due to shrinkage of the poured concrete. Shrinkage of pored concrete foundations can occur for three years or longer. If water is leaking into the basement the leaks must be eliminated.
We have been filling cracks with various injection methods for many years. In fact, we were pioneers in applying polyurethane injection to residential poured concrete foundations cracks.
Injecting sealant materials into wall cracks was a big breakthrough at the time. Yet, we have had to watch as continued structural movement and further concrete shrinkage have re-opened cracks to leaks.
Injection alone cannot provide a lasting solution as cracks get larger and soil expansion and contraction cause the foundation to shift and settle.
Permanent Solution to Leaking Poured Concrete Wall Cracks!
The FlexiSpan Crack Repair System is a permanent solution when used
with our WaterGuard drainage system. We seal the crack with a special
flexible sealant on the surface of the crack from top to bottom. This
bead will slow and in many cases stop the flow of water through the
crack. We then apply the strip of 3-1/2" wide, beveled FlexiSpan open
cell foam material to the sealant, tucking it into the WaterGuard
drainage system in the floor or drywell that has been created. An overcoat of special sealant is applied
over the FlexiSpan foam strip overlapping onto the concrete wall at
least 2 inches on each side. The beveled foam strip is covered
completely creating a sealed path from the top to the bottom of the
poured concrete foundation wall.
